biography
It started long before her birth. There already was a possible heir, a cousin whom's mother took her husband's name. However, that wasn't really the point - that cousin was the heir simply because her blood ran true, and was the full daughter... but was switched at birth with the aunt's still born by the father, simply because he could. It was a shame, a stain that would remain on their family. Well, that wasn't really the matter.
The girl was born a mere five years after the first failure, and she was pampered, educated, and told that one day, she would lead the family. That's what she was told, and that was what she believed, her family noble in nature and leading people with a shining example of calm and dedication. The girl took these values, and lived them. Her childhood was uneventful for the most part, having a rather typical somewhat rich girl life. She was perfectly fine with her life, until a year ago.
Until the side family's shame was exposed wide open, and chaos erupted within the family, and it's several branches. Arguments over whom should be heir, and whom was more worthy, such fights were centered around her, and the elder sister she never knew she had. But the girl found herself unwilling to hand over her position to an elder. She had always been alone, taught how to sustain herself and solve things by herself. There was no way she was giving up her promise position to a new comer that had a loved, cherished, and responsibility free life.
That was irresponsible, and from that day, she's been working intently in her family's politics, intending to take her role anyways. No one would stop her goal, and she would become like her name sake - like ice, engulfing everything in a chilling, methodical manner that would provide the best success if one accepted it. She would not let her sister take such a role, unprepared and worst of all, unrefined and sloppy.
No, that was Alice's inheritance to take.
