Welcome to the seaside city of Paralia, where magic and whimsy are commonplace and not even the sky is your limit! Boats & Birds is a slice of life roleplaying site drawing influence from various Ghibli productions, particularly the movies Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Ponyo. With no immediate plot, we are mostly driven by individual character plots and put our focus on character development and a lax environment. May you enjoy your stay, however long or brief, at B&B.

FEBRUARY FOURTH Not much to addhere, just a brief update specifying general life expectancy and an extra bit on how Quenya... work. Hop by the races thread and read up on the changes.

FEBRUARY FOURTH Nothing much to update, really, aside from the fact that we, Boats & Birds, are now open! 8D Get excited! It only took forever and a day to get this going. .__. Regardless, we've just opened our doors and – if you're reading this – have probably started advertising like mad to get the word out. ~~Hello, by the way, do enjoy your stay.~~ We'll see where things go over the course of the next week – if changes need to be made and/or are made, we'll let you know here~! Until then, get to chattin' in the chat, get to makin' those characters, and above all, have fun!

grand opening

There is, sadly, no massive in character event – or a giveaway, for that matter – to mark the beginning of our quaint little site here. Events that will transpire in the future, however, will go here as they come. Keep a watchful eye out for them, hm?

Boats and Birds is the product of Orange and Pharaoh Leap's combined effort, the initially idea sparked by the former and both working to carry it to completion. Inspiration for the site setting, character races, and other such factors was drawn from Studio Ghibli with varying severity. The current skin was created by Pharaoh Leap, while staff icons in the banner were created by Jea. Any and all written site content belongs to the members who initially wrote them, and stealing will not be tolerated. Thank you for your time.

FRIENDSHIP :: morpheus is on a level field of being friends with almost anyone who can give him the time really, he's not that special like everyone else but he has great photographic memory. I'm open to any sort of friendship really. as long as the person understands that morpheus kind of looks like the type to not care about how he looks at people.

HATESHIP :: i'm not sure what sort of hateship morpheus would have, since he's just a very chill person and doesn't really care as much for others. i mean, he has some form of dislike, but, mainly, people in general bother him. especially magi's, if you're a magi, he'll hate you...somehow...

LOVESHIP :: doubt it. i mean, i don't even think morpheus would even have that much of a love life, sure he'll have this sort of phase where he would like you, but, the next time you meet him, he'll probably end up not caring anymore. plus, he has dirty thoughts, no one probably likes a guy who thinks dirty all the time.

Caroline is a magi, so these two might not get along in the beginning. In fact, there's quite a lot about her that'll probably work just right for the "nuisance" title. She's usually not the sort to put an effort into friendships, but his dislike for magis is going to confuse the hell out of her and she'll try and work to give them a better rep in his eyes, probably making it even worse in the mean time. I don't know, really. I feel like they'd be fun to roleplay and if they hate each other, well... even more fun? c:
