biography
from the moment theodore came from his mother's womb he was trouble. well, that's what everyone thought at first, little did they know it would turn out to be true. the young couple had met up with an old haggardly fortune teller, in hopes of learning about their baby's future. it was then that a curse was put upon the family, and the baby that was blooming in her womb. at first the couple took no heed to the warning given to them. it was only until later on in the pregnancy that his mother grew weary of the curse put upon them. the pregnancy had been a rather difficult one filled with stomach sickness and endless amounts of pain. birthing was not easy, either. their wonderful baby boy having to be pulled from his mother's stomach. the very sight of the baby was enough to bring tears to the mother's eyes, and not necessarily tears of joy.
it was at a very young age that his parents realized of his magi abilities. at first it was simple magic he was pulling off. shadow manipulation and a bit of telekinesis. growing up was hard for the little boy, and it wasn't because of the magic. it was his appearance. his eyes weren't like any other human's, and they believed that only the old hag could be to blame. angry, theodore's father spend years trying to find her. willing to do anything for her to take back the curse that she had placed on their family. there was no use. the hag was long gone, most likely preying on another family to destroy. every time someone new laid their eyes upon the small child, a gasp or even a scream would fill the silence. this led to the family hiding little teddy away from the world, telling him that no one was ready for his beauty.
as he grew into a teenager, he knew he wasn't normal. he knew he wasn't beautiful. what kind of lies had they told him? being hidden from society wasn't necessarily a bad thing. it gave him a lot of free time to hone his magical abilities. much to his parent's displeasure. for his last year of schooling, the young man begged and pleaded to be allowed to go to school. with much haste, his parents allowed it. there were two kinds of reactions when he confronted his peers. "whoa his eyes are so cool" and "ew what a freak". none of the bad hurt teddy, for it was overrun by the good. despite his appearance, friends were made around every corner, causing his ego to inflate.
once school was over, theodore had no idea what to do with his life. getting a job was the next step in his life, but his parents tried to sway him from such ridiculous ideas. the young man wasn't one to turn away from a challenge. so what did he do? ran off and got a job at a bar as a bartender. a place where weird things would acceptable and even encouraged. to this day he still works at the same bar, surrounding himself with equally weird - if not weirder - company.
